Kevin Porter Jr., a prospective lottery pick in the NBA draft, sought to squash speculation about his status with USCa€™s basketball team in a tweet on Monday.

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Porter indicated he would remain with the Trojans for the rest of the season rather than leave early to prepare for the draft.

The comments were made a day after he was suspended indefinitely by the team for unspecified conduct issues, sidelining him for Sunday nighta€™sA 81-60 loss at OregonA and casting some doubt over his future with the Trojans beyond the weekend. Adding to some of the uncertainty involving Porter, USC coach Andy Enfield,A quotedA by the Los Angeles Times following the game, said that he would a€œreevaluate his future with the program this week.a€

a€œThere has been speculation that I will no longer finish the season as a Trojan, those accusation & what has brought a lot of negative attention to the Trojan family are all false,a€ Porter wrote in his statement. a€œI am a Trojan and never once have been put in a predicament from our coaching staff that I was removed & wasna€™t apart of this program, I apologize for all the accusation that has been said about me & hope our support and our family stay as one! Fight on #Trojan family.a€
