South Carolina is parting ways with reserve guard Rakym Felder, coach Frank Martin said in a statement Monday morning. The decision ends a rocky relationship that has spanned the last two years.

Felder was suspended indefinitely from the program last summer after a couple incidents, including an arrest. Martin did partially reinstate Felder for the spring semester, but ultimately arrived at the decision to part ways.

When Rakym and I met to discuss his return to our program, there were certain things that I asked of him and unfortunately he has not met those expectations, Martin said in a release. Im disappointed that he did not take advantage of the opportunity to fully return to our program. We wish him the best with his future.

Among his various issues was an October 2016 arrest on charges of simple assault and resisting arrest.
